PLEASE NOTE -- The figures provided here are very rough estimates based on historical data of existing client usage. Your actual costs may be higher or lower than what you see here.
Below are the estimates of what it would cost to use our service each month.
Scenario One -- All authors using hand held recorders
If ALL authors (doctors, lawyers, etc.) use digital hand held recorders and upload their dictations (audio files) to our service via our secure web site, then the monthly cost will be approximately *
Scenario Two -- All authors using phone-in dictation
If ALL of your authors (doctors, lawyers, etc.) use our toll-free phone-in dictation feature, then your monthly cost will be approximately
Scenario Three -- Half and half
If half of your authors (doctors, lawyers, etc.) use digital hand held recorders and the other half use our toll-free phone-in dictation feature, then your monthly cost will be approximately *
* The figures provided in scenarios one and three above are based on the assumption that your authors use digital hand held recorders, such as Olympus or Sony, which produce audio files in the DSS or DVF file format. DSS and DVF files are proprietary, super compressed audio files and, therefore, cost less to upload to our service. Despite their compression, DSS and DVF files maintain a high quality of audio.
Some recorders produce MP3 or WMF, or even WAV audio files which are significantly larger in size and, therefore, cost significantly more to upload to our service. For this reason, MetroScript strongly recommends using hand held recorders which produce DSS or DVF audio files. Below are some links to get product information on Olympus and Sony hand held recorders, some of which will be DSS and DVF recorders.
